Hello - I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond. I was out of town until tonight. 

       I am delighted to write a reference for Jeremies. I engaged Jeremies to be a guide for me and my daughter and son-in-law last year, February 2015. He took us up to the north of Togo for a 4-day tour of the tribes. We all loved him! He was an excellent guide. I have had a number of guides on quite a few trips, and he was one of the very best. In fact, I was amazed that he was so good and so informed despite being so young. 

      He showed up on time, he was fun and personable, and he was very knowledgeable. He did a lot of extra things that made our trip memorable, things that many guides don't do. First, he asked me beforehand what we wanted from the trip and gave me good suggestions and feedback about things to do that were tailored to my interests. He had a good plan for the tour, was organized, and had contacted the tribes ahead of time so that we had good experiences in each place. With one tribe, he had them give us lunch and encouraged conversation with them. Both tribes danced for us. We felt like he was enjoying the experience as much as we were.  When we had dinner, even though it was a restaurant that was too expensive for him, he sat with us and talked to us while we ate. Many guides disappear during dinner. He was also flexible. When my daughter wanted to visit a family of a student she had in the U.S., he helped us contact the family, went with us to visit them, helped us select an appropriate gift for them. We'd wanted to see a funeral, and he stopped by one when he saw one down the road. During the long drives up north and back, he was fun and engaging, making the long drives a pleasure. In short, I think Jeremies is a really terrific guide and I would definitely give him my highest recommendation, as well as saying without reservation that I would hire him again myself. In fact, I am thinking about coming back sometime in the next couple of years and hiring him to take me around the area to see more of it. That's the highest praise I could give any guide!
